Saturday night Anna and Kate (mostly Kate) threw Erik a surprise birthday party. The best part of the whole thing was the cake. Erik's family traditionally makes him a panda cake every year for his birthday, and this year they mailed the mold and directions to Kate. She and Anna made the cake on Friday, and then Kate iced it while we were all (Erik especially) playing night soccer. This is the cake:

so, kimmy, i had no idea you were up there. so, are you in law school or something now there? i knew there was talk of fsu, but penn... wow.
how are things and how long have you been there? i'll be checking here to see how you are and i hope that you email me or something.
i feel such distance between us, and it isn't just states! i've always admired you on such a grand level, as someone i looked up to and emulated. i miss you fierce.
