My computer is still MIA :(

My computer is still missing, I think my computer guy is just messing with me at this point. He keeps telling me it will be ready the next day and then not delivering. I am frustrated.

Last week one day (I think it might have been Thursday) I went to a !wonderful! bookstore called "House of Our Own" that Claudia told me about. It is my new second favorite place in Philadelphia after Independence Hall. It had an amazing collection of political and philosophical books on all kinds of topics downstairs. And upstairs they have an entire floor of used books that I actually want to read!! I only let myself look at half of the fiction section because I want to have something to look forward to for next time. I got Walden and Sister Carrie for fifty cents each, I'm very happy about that. I am less happy about the parking ticket I got when my meter expired for LITERALLY less than two minutes. I hate the parking meter police.

Yesterday afternoon I went to the park for a while and it was very soothing. It was cold, and I regretted wearing flip-flops instead of socks and shoes. There were a bunch of guys playing volleyball, and a few each playing chess and football. I read some of Walden but mostly watched people. Then I had a cup of coffee at the Green Line Cafe, where there were lots of people who seemed very interesting but all had established conversations going so I didn't talk to anyone.

I just finished a book yesterday that Anna suggested I read and that I think every one of you should read. Seriously, I recommend this book for everybody I know. It is called the FairTax Book by Neal Boortz. It will make you want to write to your congressman and demand a taxation revolution. It also will make you laugh because it is very well written and funny.

I got the first two seasons of Gilmore Girls on dvd in Florida when they were on sale at Target for $18 each, and I have been watching season one as I have time over the last week. I even got Dan to watch it, and he won't admit it but he likes it. He totally was watching yesterday when he was pretending to grade papers. I love this show and it is awesome to watch the old episodes without commercials.

My brother is coming to Philadelphia for my birthday next month!! I cannot wait until he gets here. Doug is going to get to go to the cupcake company and independence hall and we are going to have so much fun!

That is all the news I can think of. I promise that pictures are coming, but they're still on hold until my computer comes home fixed. sorry.
