a few random thoughts.

I saw An Inconvenient Truth on Monday. It's really good, only mildly political, and everyone should see it. That's not just me saying, "hey, it's entertaining." That's me saying "hey, we owe it to ourselves and whatever future generations manage to survive if we don't go see this movie and change the massive amounts of destruction we're doing to the world." Go. Really. (I'm not a Gore fan either. Get over it.)

Almost time for the Claret Jug! My money's on Monty, but I'm hoping David Howell wins. I think Tiger will finish top ten (tied for 8th maybe?) and Phil will finish lower than 30th. Can you believe I just made golf predictions? Don't give me too hard a time when I'm totally wrong.

Steffany, remember I told you that there's a diet coke ad that reminds me of your John? Go here, click on "ads and downloads," and then watch the "Loft" ad. Tell me it doesn't look like John dancing.

I think I'm finally getting used to Will Ferrell. He used to really really annoy me, but I actually laughed when he sang to Lance Armstrong at the ESPYs. And I think I'm going to go see Talladega Nights.

I was watching Cash Cab the other day on the Discovery channel and I wanted to laugh when a couple got the question "Shannon Faulkner was the first woman admitted to what previously all-male military school in South Carolina?" They answered (not kidding here): VMI. As did the narrator, I made the comment, "ummm... Last time I checked the Virginia Military Institute was not in South Carolina."

Also, my therapist broke up with me. Kidding about the breaking up part, but she actually is leaving public practice and now I have to find somebody new. I guess I'll try the people at UF?

I spent two hours at Sholom Park yesterday. For those of you who live in or visit Ocala, you should really check it out. It's very calming and peaceful. Here are a few pictures, more are here:

more coneflowers

Pretty Butterfly

That's all for now. I have to go put aloe on my sunburn from going swimming with Emily and Dan earlier.
