On top of everything else...

One of my favorite books to read (particularly when sick or stressed) is A Wrinkle in Time. I've read it at least fifty times. Minimum. It opens with a scene in Meg's attic bedroom during a storm, and it says some version of "It's not just the weather. It's the weather on top of everything else. On top of me, Meg Murray."

I feel like that right now. No one particular thing has me stressed. In fact, things are going really well since I'm almost done with school (can you believe it?!). But right now lots of little things are creeping in on top of me.

It's been too long since I've seen my best friends.
It's been too long since I could sleep in.
It's been too long since I haven't panicked about paying bills.
It's been too long since I haven't had exams hanging over my head.
It's been too long since I've felt good about my body.
It's been too long since I've been healthy.
It's been too long since I've cooked a real meal.
It's been too long since I've watched a sporting event of any kind.

I feel like I've been trapped in this stress capsule and I can't seem to get out. I'll be done with exams on Friday, so I think the next thing on my list is to make a new list of priorities. Like eating well, exercising, budgeting my money, cleaning my room regularly, spending time with important people, etc.

I can't wait to hit Friday at five...I'll be done with law school. And hopefully free to see all of you! Send me your good thoughts for my Grat Tax exam tomorrow!

You seriously rock. You have great taste in books, purses, friends, music, and so many other things. Many, many good thoughts are winging their way from the west coast for you!

We love you! Even gruff Chris admits that he's fond of you. :)

Wishing you lots of luck on your exams! Sorry to hear that you are stressed, but honestly, I don't think that ever goes away :D And, if you truly find that "happy balance" in life, let me know. I still haven't found it!

Glad to see that you've actually blogged. Been wondering if you'd fallen off the face of the earth or something!

You're done!! I'm reading this a little late, but so proud of you!!!

Now with all this free time, you seriously need to come up here and hang out. I've got the beach - it's free! Plus the new awesome outdoor mall. You have no reason to say no!
