I've had The Circle of Life from the Lion King stuck in my head now for a couple of days. Probably because Emily's been in labor (see her blog for details). She's now a mother, yay!
Most of the time I think people get caught up in the mundane details of life- work, class, errands, cooking, laundry, basketball season (that might just be me. MARCH MADNESS IS HERE! post on that to come later), etc. I've had trouble focusing on the basic stuff lately, though. I've been trapped thinking about things on a much broader basis- meaning of life, philosophy, waste-of-time kind of stuff. So my laundry isn't quite clean; I've been eating mostly peanut butter sandwiches; and I haven't read for my european copyright class in a week. If I could learn to balance the philosophical musings with the things I need to be doing (like, you know, studying), then I think I'd be more productive and therefore happier. My nearly empty wardrobe would appreciate it, I'm sure.
Do y'all go through periods where you forget to do the basic stuff? I mean, other than when you're reading the Twilight books?

4 pink picket thought(s):
I definitely go through those times. I think those are the times when I recharge my battery so to speak. I have to take a couple days a month, the other stuff will still be there.
And right now I am reading "the house of Night" series. It is for young adult, but I had to check it out before Bre (wink). I am still in to the vampire thing, scary hugh. My next read thought is going to by "Firefly Lane", I have heard it is really good.
Omg.....I have been reading a lot lately.
I finished the Twilight series. [[ as you know that part ]]
I am on the third book of the Vampier Kisses series. [[ there is five books in that series. ]]
After i finish that series I am going to read the House of night series that my mom is reading.
It's amazing, I am in love wtih reading lately. :]]
Just wanted to tell you that.
Hope you're doing well.
Talk to you soon.

I can't get into Twilight. Don't hate me or kick me off your blog.
As I get older, I think my tendency towards ADD grows. I can't seem to focus on one thing at a time, now that I don't have a "teacher" to impress. And avoid the laundry? Absolutely. Who needs clean clothes when you can just buy new ones?
