Overdue, without the late fees.

It takes a long time for our professors to evaluate our final exams and post grades. A really long time. The students are pretty forgiving of this tardiness, but the library is not so forgiving of us.

I checked a book out to use in my Fiduciary Administration class and was 11 days late returning it. I now can't access my grades (if and when they get posted) until I pay a replacement fee for a book that they, in fact, have in their possession. A late fee I can understand, but $51.10 to replace a book that doesn't need replacing seems a bit excessive. I'm a little floored at the logic there.

I'm somewhat overdue updating this blog. Don't bother charging me late fees, I won't pay them.

woo! a post. i'm loving it.

Weird how that logic trickles down. we have a 7th grade "picnic" reward day. the kids are not allowed to go if either a) they have more than 4 discipline referrals all year or b) they have overdue library books or ID fines. Seems a bit skewed at the middle school level, too!
